PROFLEX VS ClassicCompare The Differences
Why Choose the ProFlex Over the Classic?

The ProFlex isn’t just a bike rack—it’s an upgrade in design, durability, and security. With its modern new aesthetic, exclusive features and adaptable design, it stands out as a premium option. We took our Classic Range rack that cyclists worldwide know and love, and turned it into a new era of Steadyrack.

But which rack is best for you? To make it easier for you, we have gathered all the key comparisons between the ProFlex and Classic Ranges!

Modern Aesthetic

The ProFlex Range has been thoughtfully designed with a new, modern aesthetic, featuring an all black, nickel finish. The new look adds a sophisticated touch to any space while maintaining the same trusted durability and reliability that riders have come to expect from Steadyrack.

The Classic Range still provides the same reliability as it's always known for, however, who doesn't love a good aesthetic!

Easy Installation

One of the advantages of the ProFlex is its ease of installation. With fewer holes to drill and simplified SteadyClick end cap assembly, setting up your rack has never been quicker. You can even use the same vertical mounting holes from your Classic Range rack for a ProFlex rack!

The Classic Range has the original end cap design and vertical mounting holes for timber and horizontal mounting holes for masonry installation. Our Classic Range has been a leader in vertical bike storage since 2009. We took what we knew worked and made a new and improved bike rack: the ProFlex.

Exclusive Features

The ProFlex comes with user-friendly end caps that slide-and-click into place for effortless installation. The new SteadyRest is designed to accommodate the increasing width of fat tyres, ensuring a secure fit for a range of bikes as well as reduces scuffing on your wall and serves as a pivot point. The inclusion of the dovetail mounting plate makes it an adaptable system for future Steadyrack products. The ProFlex rack also includes the Gearmate SteadySpine, making it compatible with the GearMate system.

The Classic Range does not include a GearMate SteadySpine, although is GearMate compatible, and is supplied with the original rear tyre rest.

Durability

The ProFlex Range can support up to 55kg/121lbs, making it the perfect choice for heavier bikes, including eBikes and mountain bikes. The updated saddle design also provides better tyre protection, reducing the risk of the bike saddle getting caught in the tread. The ProFlex also comes in three different sizes: Narrow, Wide and Fat—our first fat tyre, fender compatible rack!

The Classic Range racks have a maximum load capacity of 35kg/77lbs, excluding the Fender Rack (discontinued) which is 25kg/55lbs. The saddle on the Fender and eBike Racks (discontinued) are slightly thinner and therefore can sometimes lodge between chunky tread on mountain bike tyres.

SteadyLoad™

Roll-in-roll-out innovation that allows users to store their bike without lifting it off the ground.
